Driving in the Rain
When it rains, there are more auto accidents. While rain may not seem dangerous, it does limit visibility and makes the roads slicker. For this reason, it’s wise to slow down when driving in the rain. If you are in an unfamiliar area, your ability to see stop signs and other things like that could be impaired. As for the roads being extra slick, depending on the quality of your tires, you may have an increased chance of hydroplaning. If you are traveling at an unsafe speed in inclement conditions, you stand a very high chance of getting a ticket for failing to control your vehicle if you have a wreck. Even if you make a good habit of using caution while driving in the rain, other people on the road may not share your same concern for safety. You could still end up with a damage vehicle and severe injuries or worse. After your are injured in a car accident, you could face a long recovery time and that can get costly. Not only are you losing money by missing work, medical bills are piling up by the day. In the end, it may come down to a fight with an insurance company to get the compensation you deserve.
