Tragic Rollover Truck Accident Ends in Fatality
According to an article by Big Country News, a woman was killed in a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 20 on August 31, 2018. According to the Department of Public Safety, a 75-year-old woman was traveling west on the highway in a Ford pickup with a passenger. When the vehicle come to a curve, the automobile ran off the road into the median. The driver then overcorrected and turned back across the roadway into the ditch. This action caused the truck to roll several times. The passenger was unfortunately killed in the accident. The driver was transported to a Lubbock hospital with severe injuries. The driver is still in the hospital but in stable condition. Both the passenger and the driver were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. This crash is still under investigation by the Department of Public Safety.
