According to KTXS – 12, The remains of an elderly Colorado City woman who went missing in September of 2015 have been found in Ward County. Ward County is located in Far West Texas. The woman, Sue Martin Noel was 79 years old when she was reported missing on September 21st, 2015.

The Colorado City Police Department (CCPD) stated that the remains, which are believed to be Noel’s, were found close to her 2012 Chevy Equinox. Both the body and the vehicle were found in what was described as a remote field near Highway 18 and FM 1776 in Ward County. The body was found by a Texas Ranger who is based out of Monahans, TX and he contacted CCPD around 4:30 in the afternoon about his discovery on Monday, October 16th.

Noel had last been seen around the 1100 block of Richland Drive in Abilene before she went missing. Authorities had announced when she went missing that she had cognitive problems that posed a serious threat to her safety. 

Her remains have been sent for an autopsy and to be tested for DNA, however, the CCPD says that there is no evidence of foul play involved in her death.
