The Dangers of Distracted Driving
The details of this accident are unknown. We do not know why the woman crashed into a truck that was sitting at a stop light or stop sign. The only thing that we know for sure is that the woman did indeed crash into a stopped vehicle. She hit hard enough that she did suffer minor injuries and had to go to the hospital. While one can only assume the reasons this crash happened, many people across Texas are involved in auto accidents as a result of distracted driving. The most common form of distraction is the cell phone but almost anything that can take your mind off the task of driving for an extended period can be considered a distraction. These things can be loud kids in the backseat, food or drink, and even the car dash navigation system. However, almost everybody has their cell phone on them all the time. Many people are tempted to look at the cell phone while they drive. While they’re looking at their cell phone, their eyes are not on the road. This practice can have disastrous results. For example, they may not see that a stop sign is coming up that there’s a car already stopped there as they crash into the back of your vehicle.
