It’s October and That Means Haunted Houses are Back

When October rolls around, it can mean certain things for different people. Some of us really get into the Halloween spirit and decorate our houses, dress in costume, visit haunted houses, or we do all of the above. While I'm not personally familiar with the psychological aspects of fear and the rush it gives people, there are many people who enjoy the rush that the feeling of fear brings.

Dogs Given Shelter from Harvey in Abilene

According to Fox 15, Abilene, 30 dogs from various shelters that have been affected by hurricane Harvey were transported to the Rescue the Animals shelter in Abilene. Some of them have been sent to another shelter in Iowa when they were collected on August 30th.

Abilene Woman Involved in Single Car Accident

An article by KTXS states that a woman was involved in a wreck on Beltway North after she lost control of her vehicle and went down into a culvert. Her vehicle eventually ended up flipped upside down. Emergency responders came to the scene and it took them around 10 minutes to free her from the wreckage.

According to the Abilene Reporter News, A man succumbed to his injuries he received in a wreck north of Snyder on Highway 84. About 13 miles north of Snyder in Scurry County, a semi-truck hit a pickup that was parked on the side of the highway.

18-Wheeler Closes Down Interstate

According to the Big Country Homepage, an 18-wheeler jackknifed on interstate 20 recently and caused all lanes to be shut down and traffic that was heading west to be diverted. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 287.
